Swildons Hole

Swildons Hole in Somerset, is possibly the most popular sporting cave in the country, accessible to all ages and abilities, whilst providing challenges to the more experienced cavers.

The water from Swildons Hole travels over 4km underground before it finally re-emerges at the famous Wookey Hole Caves. Whilst the system has been dye traced and proven to connect the two caves, the physical human connection has yet to be made, despite many attempts by cave  divers.

The cave is extremely well documented and a beautiful book, which details the routes, history and exploration can be bought here: Swildons Book
