WetWellies Caving was set up in 2012 and is owned and run by caving instructor, Christine Grosart.
She is one of only a few female caving instructors in the country.
She still holds the British female cave diving depth record in the famous Wookey Hole Caves, which she achieved on a solo cave dive in 2009.
You can be sure that your instructor has a genuine passion for adventure!
Her aim was to set WetWellies Caving apart from the usual ‘sausage factory’ caving tours and instead, provide a custom, personalised service.
“We booked a trip for the whole family and we weren’t to be disappointed. It was a proper adventure.
Wet, dark and plenty of clambering around! Superbly guided and cared for all the way with a 70 year gap between oldest and youngest in the party. No mean feat!
An unforgettable experience. Thank you!” Stuart T.
WetWellies were shortlisted for the Wiltshire Business of the Year awards in 2012, having only started up that very year.
Christine has won awards for her cave photography and is in a unique position to offer all clients top quality images of their underground excursions, free of charge.
She seized the opportunity to offer everyone the chance to not only try caving, but to learn about caves, offering education and inspiration.
Several of her clients have now taken up caving and joined their local club. WetWellies Caving is committed to providing a safe, educational and enjoyable experience for our clients.
WetWellies are fully insured and British Caving Association qualified.
WetWellies can provide Caving Experiences all year round, carefully selecting suitable caves for the prevailing weather conditions, client’s experience level and fitness.
“At WetWellies, we pride ourselves in quality over quantity. You can expect to learn all about caves as well as enjoying the physical challenges they present. We will tailor your day or course to suit you and your group. We offer the highest quality experience days with professionalism and safety at the fore.”
